One day I was scrolling social media, and I came across a shirt that had several famous Black ancestors on it. It was the usual cast of Black History characters (Frederick, Martin, Malcolm, etc.). Disclaimer: The shirt was all men. I was pregnant, and at that moment (full of hormones) I thought about their parents. Their parents raised black history. We give a lot of credit to the individual people (as we should), but I wanted to know what could I do to raise my daughter to be great. What are simple, or complex things we can as parents? That is how Raising Black History began in my mind. After sitting on the idea for years (Vivian is now 2) I decided to unveil a Youtube Channel to talk about the topic. Once a week, check the website for a video on what we can do as parents to Raise Black History. The first video will drop November 13!
